Goodwin Studios, a local web and graphic design firm, will be taking over the former Mojo Signs offices on 2nd avenue, downtown Squamish, as of May 1st.
"After 20 years as a home-based business I felt it was time to bring web development to street level and create a walk-in shop that's friendly and welcoming. What better place to establish our 'virtual sign shop' than in the former location of Mojo Signs?" writes owner Jude Goodwin.
Mojo Signs was purchased last month by Century Signs and is being moved to the industrial park.
The new Goodwin Studios will continue to offer web design and development services as well as more graphic design, publishing, printing and various sports-related printing and branding products.
"We plan to grow our events packages offering posters, advertising, rack cards, web pages etc."
Goodwin Studios currently produces the graphics packages for Test of Metal inc. and owns and manages the Squamish Events Guide and Whistler Events Guide, two popular online calendars.
"And I'm very excited to welcome Christine Bennett as our new Projects Manager. With her years of experience as General Manager of Mojo Signs, Christine is the perfect choice for projects manager in a 'virtual' sign shop. Christine will be a friendly face and continue to provide her signature high-standard customer care. " Christine is also the Executive Director for the Downtown Squamish BIA.
The shop will be setting up over the first few days of May. "We're planning an Open House for May 21 (4:00 pm) but feel free to drop by anytime."
Jude and Christine can be reached 9-4 starting Monday, May 3.
