Whistler Glass
Whistler Glass Ltd. owner Randy Goodwin already had an extensive website in place which he loved! However, the pages needed to be updated and much of the coding needed to be reworked.
We decided to put Randy's site into CMS in order to simplify updating, adding pages to menus, and managing images. Data bases are a great way to manage large amounts of information.
Monitors continue to get bigger, and the resolution higher and higher. Older websites are designed to fit smaller screens. Randy's new site needed to fit a screen at least 1000 pixels across, so a completely new design was required.
At the same time, Randy didn't want to lose all that he loved about his old site.
The new Whistler Glass Ltd. website incorporates many of the graphic elements of the older site including curved text, sound effects, walkthrough photos and flash movies. At the same time, the design is distinctly modern with large beautiful top images and custom pop up windows.
The biggest challenge of the Whistler Glass website was content transfer - moving the many pages of information over to the new site, and then working with the client to update everything.
